The Contemporary African Adult Problem:
Most of us African adults who were born in urban centers or live in the diaspora are often not as culturally proficient as we desire to be.
Most of us cannot speak our indigenous mother tongue and do not know enough about where we come from.
This knowledge gap creates an uncomfortable feeling of intimidation or overwhelm when the topics pertaining to our roots and cultural background come up.
If this describes your situation, the Modern Ancestors exists to enable you with resources that make you knowledgeable, competent and well grounded in your cultural identity without any form of intimidation, fear or overwhelm. We also curate community experiences that provide a shame-free environment which fosters the mindful and intentional adoption of the elements of our African Cultural Identity in respectful terms and with mindful consideration of our personal values.
